THE RITUAL

A sheer expression of our craftmanship, unique one-off creations lasted and sewn by the hands of our master shoemakers to our customers specifications.The process involves the creation of a personal shoe last resulting from a thorough quantity of measurements being assesed directly on the clients foot.Our experts will assist the client deciding between the materials and the pattern making.Following the approval of the sample commonly called “scarpetta” and at least 36 hours more of hand crafting and welting, a BV bespoke shoe will be delivered to another distinguished gentleman.

MEASUREMENT TAKING

Our artisans skillfully analyze each clients' foot and take all the necessary measurements to develop the last.

TRIAL SHOE 
After shaping the last to the customer's  foot size, our artisan proceeds in developing the trial shoe.
Thanks to the trial shoe, he assess that everything conforms to the customer's foot.
The trying moment is the crucial step before making the real bespoke shoes.

PATTERN MAKING 

Firstly our artisan start creating the upper, then he handcraft the leather reinforcements, the toe cap and the counter adding other leather reinforcements on the sides.
Before assembling the upper our artisan must frayed and bring the lateral reinforcing pieces to the same level with the front ones. He then add the leather and he leaves it drying for at least a  couple of days.

 STITCHING THE WELT 

The essential process in crafting a bespoke shoe, the welt is carefully stitched to the insole before applying the sole.

This is the shoes with the entire welt.

KORK

Before starting the process of sole application, the artisan fill the insole with the kork.

 

 

WELTING THE SOLE

A few steps away from delivering a masterpiece to its owner, the sole is stitched through a closed channel.A unique know-how transmitted to generations, permits us to construct and welt our shoes both with Goodyear or Norvegese traditional stitching techniques.
